Another beautiful lace masterpiece by Terrilee Petrey. Terrilee used Aussi wool sock yarn which was hand-dyed by Susan Yarns shop owner John Martin and the pattern "Mohana" by Monica Steinbauer. The pattern is lovely and well written. I really enjoyed knitting it - there's enough change in the stitches to make it interesting and yet I was able to 'read' the pattern in spots and knit without having to follow the chart stitch by stitch. The yarn was really nice to knit and the dye job - a tone-on-tone red is SO yummy. The pattern says that the picot bind off will try your patience. I love the final result of the bind off, but "try your patience" is a HUGE understatement."" |
