Once you get all 72 repeats of the border (each with 2 cables) done, it's a simple feather and fan pattern until you get to the middle. I thread ribbon around the center in either pink or blue, but I always include the other color since I only make one of these per family." Terrilee used a very fine lace weight merino/silk that she's had for a long time and a pattern from Shetland lace by Gladys Amedro. |
